Hi you all,
I'm new here and just wanted to congratulate the webmaster and moderators with site. excellent work!!!!I live in Leuven, know about doctor Stalmans but haven't gone to him yet...Perhaps a bit scared that he too will say that I'll have to get used to them. Anyway, I'll prob visit him this summer. What strikes me is that we have all come from far. If I read some posts on ther boards from before 2003, people were hopeless. With the new techniques I've read many hopefull posts of people having get an excellent FOV with great results. That gives me a lot of hope.
Another thing, if some doctors don't believe our problems they should read some posts. I mean, when people start talking and speculating about nano rabots going into our eyes, this says something about our mental states!!!:-) lol. really, think about it, do these doctors think we are here just for fun????Nano robots, dear lord...lol I mean, talking about some star wars robots injected into our eyes and picking out our floaters with they 0,0000002mm arms gives some indication of how bad we feel about these terrible floaters!!
Greetz to all
Hans
PS: I hope the poster of the nano robots doesn't feel insulted...who knows it will become reallity into the future!thinking outside of the box, may result in a real solution!

Welcome Hans,
I was the one that mentioned the nanites and no offence taken. I saw a show on future technologies for the mars mission astronauts and the idea occurred to me it may have benefits for us too.

hello Larry,
yeah who knows what the future wil bring. I recently saw a Dr. talking about eye transplantations for blind people. According to this guy it should be possible within +/- 20 years time. the real problem seems to be connecting the hunderds of thousands nerve systems...I'm sure they will come up with a floater solution too someday...we'll just have to have some patience.
Greetzzz Hans
