Hi everyone,
My name is Kelly, I'm 18 years old and I'm currently attending university in Montreal, Canada. When I was 10, I began seeing hundereds of these tiny moving transparent silvery flecks whenever I would look at a pale surface, like a white wall or the sky.Sometimes I would see these trasparent web-like spots as well. I'm not even sure if these are what you call floaters because I've always been too nervous to go see a doctor or tell my parents (or anyone else for that matter) about this problem. So for the past 8 years or so, I guess I've just been trying to ignore it and hope it would go away on its own. Anyways, I think that the emotinal support that this site provides is truly amazing. It has definetely inspired me to find out more about my vision problems.
Cheers, Kelly

Hi,
I tried 12 years to find a solution and the only conclusion was that I lost a lot of time when I could have done so many nice things... It is difficult but it is a part of me and I have to live with it. I'm asking sometimes : if my eyes were ok, who knows what else could happen... It is a compensation law in everything.

I see the same seemingly hundred of moving transparent spots when I look into the sky. It is so sad to not enjoy being outdoor anymore. I see more just spots and threads on light surfaces like the computer screen. The floaters (I guess they are floaters) I see when i look at the sky is my biggest struggle.

Hi Ange,
Believe me I know how you feel. It's been over a year since I got my batch of floaters, and there are times when the conditions are right that the floaters really bother me. I know I need to get this resolved someday and get back my quality of life. For now I cope by knowing that someday in the future I will be floater free.
