Hi, I'm a 26 yo boy from Romania. I have seen my first floaters when I was 12-13 yo. Now I grew up and so they did, on both eyes. I don't remember exactly the number of doctors visited in 13 years. I even tried bio-energetical treatment. My last visit to a private doctor was 3 years ago and that lady didn’t want to accept money from me. I felt terrible... I saw in her eyes compassion, mercy.. Some of the doctors said: your eyes are fine, there is nothing wrong there. Others said: there is nothing that can be done for what you have, you must get used with your floaters. I can recommend you to wear sunglasses when you are outside, it helps a lot. For inside I have special glasses for computers (anti-reflex and heliomatic). I searching the Internet for information about floaters and I found you! I am very happy because I can discuss with somebody who knows what this really means…<br>I decided to do something, I want my life back and I hate to wait to see if they will stop or not. Do you know somebody who made a surgery or a laser treatment ? I couldn’t find a doctor here in Romania with experience in this surgery. Do you know a good hospital in Europe or should I go to USA for this ?
Thank you and let’s be united!

Hello, and welcome to the board lucent.
If you tell me what sort of floaters you have (dark and dense, or very transparent etc.) I could probably give you some advice.
You also have had floaters for a long time. Do they bother you as much as they did back when you with 12 or 13?

Hi, regarding my floaters, I have all the kind : dark, dense, very transparent.. The problem is that they never stoped appearing. They are expanding troug the whole eye. Some of the are still like 10 years ago. If I almost close my eyes, I can see a lot of very small cell and I know from the past that all this small cell will become a big problem. I can define very well my floaters like a bunch of grapes. Now I take VITREOCLAR and some anti-oxidants vitamins but I don't think will help. I learned in all these years to live with them and to accept new flaoters but sometimes it is too much.
Regards

I'm just wondering if you ever considered vitrectomy?

I never met a doctor with experience in vitrectomy. Do you know some good doctors in Europe?
