Hi,
Well I have been suffering from eye floaters for about 2 weeks now and I am at the point of almost having a nervous breakdown!! I'm 19 years old and I've had to take a few weeks off of university because I am getting increasingly irritated and I find reading very difficult.
I onlt first noticed 1 large black floater in my left eye which whizzes about whenever I move my eyes, and I started to try and focus on it, which hurt my eyes as it was making me go cross eyed, but from then on more and more seemed to appear. I now have loads of them in both eyes, mostly in the left though and none as large as that first one (which is still there). I find going out on a sunny day unbearable! Whenever I look at the sky I see loads of wavy lines and little dots/circles. When I look up, a few seconds later they all float up, and then when I look down, they all float down. My house is painted white which isn't any good as looking at the white walls makes them all the more visible. The only time I can relax is at night.
Is there anything at all I can do? I've booked an appointment with my optician, but I was there a few weeks ago and he basically said I'd just have to get used to it, but I can't see myself ever getting used to it!!!
How do you guys cope?
Thanks for reading!
