Hello I wanted to ask anybody who knows someone in
chemical engineering to discuss the floater issue and get any suggestions they can. Tell them about the saline condition of the vitreous and that floaters are bits of collagen that have broken off from strands. There may be some useful info
regarding the polarity of the chemicals involved{negative, positive} . I have wondered about using some
chemical to condition the vitreous and then using electro-magnetics { low power }to draw the bits down to the bottom of the eye ball
where they would at least be out of the way.It might involve
a regular regimen of treatment but anything would be better than nothing.
I also wanted to comment to anyone that is truly suffering from these for a long time to get serious about a vitrectomy.
It seems that at least some Docs{Belgium, etc} know how
to do these and could make a difference in your life. Dont go
to some unknown Opth. but call places like Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Mayo, any big teaching hospitals in Florida and Arizona
Chicago etc.Just make sure that they have some technique for
dealing with the detached retina issue and have done at least
hundreds of them.
It is suprising that the body which is complex beyond description does not seem to have an automatic response
to these things.I have to say that taking a multi vitamin
seems to help a little.I take a Theragran every three days and I
thought I noticed a lessening of movement.I decided that maybe the Iron was literally weighting the floaters down for
a time after I took one but who knows.I only picked Theragran
because I had them in the drawer.I dont like taking one every
day because some people say they strip micro-nutrients from
the system so I go every third day.I also try to eat braised greens or spinach every day.Heavy Lutein.
Anyway, talk to as many people as you can who could possibly have a suggestion as to what might be of help in
getting these things to settle down. You might be surprised
what you hear. Doesnt have to be an opth.
One other thing I noticed. Photons enter the eye in the
billions. Some of them go straight in but there seems to be
some that enter thru the iris and even the sclera that just make
ambient light in the vitreous chamber. These can make throw
shadows on the retina even if they are not right in between the pupil and the retina.Using sunglasses with side blocks seem to
help a little outside. And try prayer. Occasionally you get some
valuable info back in your dreams. Take care.
