Hi,
I had used Vitreolent for 4 days, after that I realised that I experienced a very bad dizziness. In a whole day long I felt very uncomfortable. So I decided to stop the medication and now the dizziness has gone.Is it right that Vitreolent can cause such side effect? Another Doctor gave me Quinax,is it proper to use this eye drops for floaters?

Hello,
I've never heard of those drugs before. I suspect they are not as common in the United States. A brief search seems to indicate that both drugs are used for the prevention or slowing down of cataracks. Not sure why they would be prescribed to use against floaters. I have yet to read of anything FDA approved that has any effect on reducing floaters. Sorry I can't be of any help as to why they were prescribed for you, and what the side effects might be. Maybe someone else on this board could provide more information. Good luck.

Yes. My retinal surgeon just prescribed me vitreolent and refused me FOV. And kept emphasizing that vitreolent is harmless.
