[shadow=red,left,300]Some Outdoor Ideas[/shadow]
Due to the floaters, it may be difficult for outdoor activities like going to the beach or going skiing. Both of the activities include a bright environment with a plain coloured surroundings which make floaters a lot worse.
Here are some ideas.
1. Hiking in the forest (lots of trees, greenery and texture).
2. Mountain bike riding in the forest
3. Astronomy. Telescopes shouldn't be overly expensive, and since it's a nighttime activity, your floaters shouldn't present too much of a problem! Take a look at the Andromeda galaxy if you can find it.
4. Scuba Diving. I really don't know anything about scuba diving. However it's probably a floater-friendly activity.
If you must go to the beach, get a pair of dark sunglasses, and of course, make sure it's UV protected. I think the highest rating is UV400.
Got any more ideas? Post them here.

I agree with Yen-Po Liu about hiking in forested areas; I rarely notice my floaters with that kind of backdrop.
Another activity where I don't notice my floaters is when I watch TV. Maybe it's because the eyes are focusing on the screen and not tracking around.

I enjoy star gazing very much with my eyes, not with a telescope, and my floaters don't seem to bother me too much when I do.
Sometimes I don't realize how on edge the floaters can make me feel until I cover my one eye with my biggest floater completely with my cupped hand. I have an almost immediate sense of relaxation. I have thought about purchasing a patch but haven't yet.
An absolute must for me too is to wear the darkest pair of sunglasses I can find during sunny days, then I am usually ok to do most activities.
Paula My floaters have never gone away completely. They have gotten smaller periodically only to come back larger. I am on a larger phase at the moment. Enjoy your floater free time!
